So… what is the Apple Pie Trail?
The Apple Pie Trail is not just about pie (though we’ve got that too). It’s a self-guided, choose-your-own-adventure through the Blue Mountain and Meaford area, where culinary experiences meet culture, outdoor fun, and small-town charm.
Rooted in the region’s apple-growing history, the Trail brings together 25+ stops, from cider houses and bakeries to local art galleries, farm tours, and hiking trails, so you can sip, snack, shop, and explore your way through Southern Georgian Bay.
Whether you’re here for a weekend or a while, there’s a slice of the Trail for everyone.
What can you do on the Trail? Here’s just a taste of what’s in store:
Sip Local:
Sample small-batch ciders, wines, and spirits at stops like Spy Cider House, Thornbury Craft Co., Grey & Gold Cider, Windswept Cider & Georgian Hills Vineyards. Learn more about Craft Cider, Beer & Wine here.
Paddle down the Beaver River, e-bike along the Georgian Trail, or hike the Escarpment. Bonus: pair your adventure with a winery visit!
Say hi to the herd at Alpine Ridge Alpacas or take an Education Farm Tour at Good Family Farms.
Butter tarts at Blackbird Pie Co., wood-fired pizza at Bruce Wine Bar, charcuterie boards, sweet treats, homemade sandwiches from The Market on Marsh and more.
From Meaford Hall’s live performances to Clarksburg’s artsy side, you’ll find creativity around every corner. Explore reDiscovered on Marsh for unique & antique finds.
Stroll the local markets (Thornbury and Meaford are now open for the season!), browse quaint general stores, and stock up on local finds.
