Georgian Hills Vineyards is committed to offering locally grown, unique cool climate wines. Partners Robert Ketchin, a wine marketer, and John, Greg & Liam Ardiel, 3rd and 4th generation apple farmers, settled in the Beaver Valley years ago with this shared dream.  Over several years, they researched and tested the best vineyard sites and grape varieties throughout the cool climate region of Georgian Bay. They were determined to find a dynamic wine region that would allow them to contribute to the Georgian Bay community, as well as the booming local wine and food movement. They finally found their perfect location in Beaver Valley and Georgian Hills Vineyards was born. The region’s unique microclimate allows for grapes to be safely grown into unique wine styles and flavours.

Visit Georgian Hills Vineyards today to see the home of the first-ever grape test sites in the emerging wine region of Georgian Bay.  Not only is Georgian Hills focused on putting Georgian Bay on the map for great Ontario wines, it is also home to Ardiel Cider House. Using the apples and pears grown on the sprawling orchards by the Ardiel family for over 100 years, Georgian Hills Vineyards is the proud producer of a variety of crisp, refreshing ciders.  Be sure to try the Ida Red Frozen to the Core dessert wine on this apple pie trail stop for something unique!

Georgian Hills Vineyards is an excellent trail stop if you’re on a cycling adventure, cider-tour, or considering an outing for a customized wine tasting and light lunch.
